Welcome Email Rewrite

The Vanishing Act

They signed up for a person. They got a checklist that prevents spam.

Diagnosis

Starting with the subject line, Rick used in the welcome email "Navigate AI Like a Pro," which sounds like a corporate headline. Then, he led with "Hey there," which tells us he didn't even collect the subscriber's name when they first opted in.

He followed that immediately with a "move this email to primary" request before earning the right to ask for anything. After that, he spent the middle on his long resume and closed with promises so broad they could belong to any business coach from any industry.

The reader opted in hoping they'd finally found someone who gets their specific situation. They finished reading feeling like a number on a list.

Thought Process

Changing the welcome email's subject line to something warmer was important, and adding the recipient's name is also crucial.
We recommended collecting the subscriber's name at opt in so every email can open with a personal greeting.

We pushed the "move the email to primary" request to the very end (just before the sign off) to earn that favor only after building trust. Next, we led with a warm paragraph, set expectations, and mirrored the reader's specific problem.

After that, we focused on benefits rather than features, tightening the long résumé into punchy, authority-building lines. We also changed the sign-off expression, made the P.S. tone more confident, and removed the needy closing line asking for a YouTube subscribe.

Result

Another number on a list turned into a person who finally feels seen.
